Recent gains against recent losses, on a scale from 0 to 100.
Above 50 the recent gains outweigh the losses. Traditionally above 70 is called overbought and below 30 oversold.
In practice RSI is more useful as a measure of strength (above 50 to 55) than as a signal to buy a dip.
Worked out by the same code the builder uses, on stored daily candles. Move a setting and the line moves with it. This is what happened, not what will happen.
Entry: RSI(14) is above 55.
'Oversold' can stay oversold for a long time in a falling market. Buying every RSI below 30 is catching a falling knife. In our own tests on crypto it did clearly worse than doing nothing special.
