How far price is from its average, in units of its usual deviation.
Around 0 is normal; above +100 or below −100 is unusually far from the average. It is used both for breakouts and for extremes.
Worked out by the same code the builder uses, on stored daily candles. Move a setting and the line moves with it. This is what happened, not what will happen.
Entry: CCI(20) crosses above 100.
Unbounded: in strong trends it can stay far above 100 for a long time.
