How long ago the highest high and the lowest low were.
Aroon up is 100 when today is the highest high of the window and falls towards 0 as that high gets older; Aroon down does the same for the lowest low.
Up above down means the recent highs are fresher than the lows. That is the definition of an uptrend, without using price distance at all.
Worked out by the same code the builder uses, on stored daily candles. Move a setting and the line moves with it. This is what happened, not what will happen.
Gate: Aroon(25) upper is above 70.
It says nothing about how far price moved, only how recent the extreme was.
